Sony Ericsson's W705 Walkman phone

Sony Ericsson's W705 Walkman phone
Check out Sony Ericsson's W705 Walkman phone with a MBS-900 Bluetooth 2.1 speaker supports 2.1 channels with integrated stereo speakers and subwoofer. The W705 is a UMTS/HSPA 900/2100 slider with DLNA-compliant Wi-Fi, shake control, a 2.4-inch display, and a 3.2-megapixel camera with a 4GB memory card, supports SE’s Clear Bass and Clear Stereo audio DSP systems, and has Bluetooth to stream music either to headphones or to the MBS-900. It also uses SensMe software that creates playlists based on a user's mood.

Connectivity is either wireless or via a 3.5mm input; we are thinking you will get better quality sound from the latter. The speaker has a monochrome OLED display for track titles and music settings, and has an FM radio. Music is automatically muted when the phone rings. I have idea when will be out but these products is expected to be launched by the 1st quarter of 2009.

Chatpad for PSP and 360

Chatpad for PSP and Xbox 360
Finally Some dedicated hackers have managed to get the PSP and Microsoft's Xbox 360 Chatpad typing. Few kinks needs to smooth out, but the hard part seems over, with l0rdnic0 managing a tiny bit of soldiering using a PSP remote cable and some software from the Open Keyboard Project. It's kinda nerdy at the moment and they are still miffed at that Logic 3 getting canceled way back when, but we suppose this will have to do.

The Coolest Parking Space

The Coolest Parking Space, Latest and Cool Gadgets Collection This the coolest parking space that I ever saw. Well, maybe the next time I go out and do some shopping, It would be better for me to go online first to see if you have a parking space instead of going around in circles at the venue because looking for a parking space is one of the problem, it could waste your time and it is biggest pain after the money we spend on fuel, in fact in many cases that's where fuel is spent for most people. On the other hand, that's not to say for the people of San Francisco. Around 6,000 wireless sensors from the San Francisco company Streetline will be fixed alongside as many parking spots, monitoring both parking availability and the volume and speed of passing traffic.

The city hopes that displaying information from the sensors on Web maps, smart phones, and signs on the street will reduce the traffic and pollution caused by circling cars. Some parking garages also have signs that tell drivers where the available spaces are, but such systems generally rely on manual car counting, not sensors.

Sanyo's N-WR01S - Wiimote Charger

Gadget, Latest Gadgets, Media Player, Mobile Phones, New Gadgets,Cool Gadgets, Gizmo, Sanyo's N-WR01S - Wiimote ChargerSanyo has a good news to Wii users, they have developed the 'N-WR01S' a non contact charger for Wiimote. It can make charging easy - simply by placing the Wiimote on a cradle. It is scheduled to to be in stores in Japan by August 25 with the basic set costing 5500 Yen ($ 51) and additional cradles and battery packs costing around 2500 Yen ($ 22). A very expensive proposal I would rather get 8 rechargeable alkalines and a charger for 30 bucks. It consists of a rechargeable battery pack that replaces the batteries and battery compartment cover on an existing Wii remote control, and a charging cradle and AC adapter. Coils of wire in the battery pack and charging cradle transfer electricity when bought in contact. The charger completely charges the Wiimote in under four hours and makes it good for six and a half hours of gameplay.

3G iPhone

According to MacRumors, 3G iPhone can be expected to hit the stands by June 2008. Today, iPhone can offer 2.5G speeds which actually means that your emails, webpages etc. downloads at a slow speed.
When Steve Jobs 1st presented the iPhone in January 2007, he specifically said that Apple plans on making "3G phones and all sorts of amazing things in the future". Why didn't he make the phone 3 G in the first place was because excessive power consumption from 3G chipsets meant lower battery life and a bulky size if a bigger capacity battery was to be incorporated. The newly announced 3G chipsets promise to address these power issues. Goldman Sachs Analysts predicted that the iPhone would see two updates in 2008. The first minor update was predicted to be a Flash memory upgrade in the 1st half of the year; resulting in the release of the 16GB iPhone in Feb. the predicted a "major" upgrade in the second half of the year; resulting in the 3G announcement.

The Swarm

The Swarm

Today, people relationships have been evolving quite rapidly recently. If the e-mail has, despite its many flaws, changed the way people communicate, other disruptive new uses like online dating, adult dating, social networking (professional: LinkedIn; friends on MySpace; hobbies, wine lovers, foodies, beer lovers etc.), IMs (allowing you to let people know whether you’re available or not and leave small notes to the attention of your contacts) have sort of opened new paths to getting to know new people, or helping you keep in touch with people you already know. In this perspective, here’s something new, both a device and a software.

The Swarm, a software for mobile devices soon to revolutionize relationships between people, basically allows you to tell your contacts what you’re doing (eg. “In a meeting”; or “I’m driving, not so convenient to pick up the phone”), whether you’re available (”I’m sunbathing on the beach so call back tonight please”) and when you’ll be available (”Free on Saturday night”). You may also separate your professional and private contacts, interface easily the software with your regular digital address book, etc.more

Sony’s Income Increased 25% in Quarter

Sony's games division finally turned a profit last quarter. Sony sold 4.9 million PS3s last quarter after slashing console prices, boosting game titles, and cutting production costs internally. Of course, we're sure Wii shortages aren't hurting Sony's bottom line either. Sony did lower its annual sales goal of PS3s from 11 million to 9.5 million (citing a slow start) while increasing PSP projections to 13 million from 10 million as originally expected. Sony's fiscal year ends in March. Overall, Sony's profits rose 25% for the quarter. Welcome back to black Sony, it's been a long time coming.

Sony also enjoyed robust holiday demand for its Cyber-shot digital cameras, Handycam camcorders and Vaio PCs, while cutting production costs of its loss-making PlayStation 3 game console and broadening its game software lineup.

Its game business swung to a profit after Sony cut production costs and retail prices of the PlayStation 3 game console and broadened its game software lineup in a bid to catch up with Nintendo’s Wii and Microsoft’s Xbox 360.

Sigma's SD14 DSLR

Sigma has announced the imminent availability of the greatly anticipated DP1 digital camera. The DP1 has a sensor around the size of those found in most DLSRs - although it is greatly different in terms of design - and aims to offer equivalent image-quality and specification in a compact format. In common with Sigma's DSLR offerings it utilizes Foveon's direct-image-sensor technology which detects three colors at each of its 4.6 million pixels (collecting the same amount of color data as a conventional 14 megapixel sensor). Our contacts at Sigma say it will be available in "spring."

The 14 megapixel FOVEON X3 sensor found in Sigma's SD14 DSLR can do in a compact's body. That's about 7 to 12 times larger than the sensor found in ordinary compacts. The biggest compromise you'll be making though, is with the lens. A fixed, 16.6-mm F4 lens designed exclusively for the DP1 illuminates each 7.8μm pixel on that 20.7 x 13.8-mm sensor. If you're still game then rounding things out are Sigma's new "TRUE" image processing engine, a 2.5-inch LCD, pop-up manual flash, hot shoe, manual or 9-point autofocus modes, and QVGA movie recording to SDHC cards. All this in a 4.5 x 2.3 x 2-inch body weighing 8.5-ounces.

The T300 makes it easy to keep track of your shots after shooting. Apple MacBook Air - slimmest notebook

Apple announced the slimmest notebook around, the MacBook Air. It only measures .16-inches and is slim enough to slip into a manila envelope. MacBook Air features a full-size keyboard and LED-backlit 13.3-inch display with built-in iSight. It also sports a new larger trackpad that supports multi-touch gestures. Similar to the interface of the iPhone where you can pinch in or pan out, the MacBook Air’s trackpad allows you to do the same, it even allows you to rotate images with two fingers, and move windows with a flick. Apple was able to contain the size by using the same 1.8-inch 80GB drive that's in the iPod classic. However the64GB SSD is optional. So far so good, but on the flipside just like an iPod, you can't just crack it open to replace the hard drive, memory or even battery. On full charge the batter will last you five hours. Also the thing doesn’t sport an Ethernet port either.

Apple MacBook Air steers clear of optical media, but there's a separate external you can snap up for $99. The laptop also features something called the Remote Disk that'll let the Air get data off the optical drive in any PC or Mac running the Remote Disk software. Pricing starts at $1799 and the Air will be shipping in two weeks.
