Vectrix Electric Superbike

The Vectrix Electric Superbike was introduced at the Milan motorcycle show recently. The bike boasts of a top speed of around 125mph, a range of around 70 miles, plus it can cover quarter mile in around 12 seconds.

Though we are low on specs but if we go by the way their maxi-scooter runs then it will include the two-way throttle-activated regenerative braking system. The battery's a 240v, 7.5KWh unit but it's unclear whether Vectrix has moved past NiMH onto the more effective but less well-known lithium-polymer units that are leading the development charge in terms of power and range. Thanks to Robrady design, the bike looks amazing, the subframe and seat suspended in midair over the beefy "tank" area, and the large electric motor sitting in plain view on the rear hub. The bike weighs in at 204kg.

Vectrix will manufacture the Electric Superbike only if they receive 500 deposits. The USA debut is scheduled for the CES show in Las Vegas in January 2008.Source

an electric bike? Cool...All I know is that an electric car...the bike seems too modified and it looks a lot like the one I see on Power Rangers, Masked Rider.
